Nothing better than a little Hawaiian twist to BBQ chicken, layered inside a tasty wrap! These Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wraps are EASY, healthy and delicious.
This is one of those meals that was created during the panic mode of needing something to feed my family for dinner that they would like, that I had the stuff for, and that would be super fast to make. (Can’t everyone relate to that?!)
I swear, come 4:30pm at our house my kids start to slowly transition from sweet and fun into HANGRY. So if I don’t have some sort of dinner prepped by then, I’m in trouble.
I can always fall back on a tasty “wrap” idea on days like this. You can see all of my wrap recipes here . I have a lot of favorites :-). I get asked all the time what tortillas I use for my wraps. I LIVE for the tortilla land uncooked flour tortillas. I use them for any recipe you see on my site that requires a tortilla!
Let me tell you, these Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wraps are just as delicious as they look. You can make your bbq sauce from scratch, or use your favorite bottled kind. I prefer Sweet Baby Rays Original BBQ Sauce. You can have these wraps made from fridge to table in 20 minutes or less. Perfect for an easy weeknight meal or even for lunch.
Consider trying these “wraps”:
- Chicken, Bacon, Avocado Wrap
- Crispy BBQ Chicken Wrap
- Honey BBQ Chicken Wrap
- Crispy Southwest Wrap
- Chicken Cashew Crunch Wrap
- Chicken Caesar Wrap

Loved it!!
they are all great. I am a diabetic and none of the recipes have not up my sugars
Could this be done with leftover beef brisket? We have some and don’t know what to make with it!
100% that’s part of cooking is substituting things and making it your own. Brisket tastes amazing with this.
I veganized this wonderful recipe. I used Gardein 7 grain meatless chicken tenders that I cooked per directions then diced. My son who is vegan does not like cilantro so I substituted avocado. Followed everything else in recipe & it was a big hit with my son.
I like the recipe
Tried this last night and it was a hit. My significant other couldn’t stop raving about it. I used chicken tenderloins, since that was what I had. We had a bit over a pound, so enough leftovers for one more serving for lunch today. He told me the leftovers were even better than what we had last night. This recipe definitely goes on my “Recipes – Yum, yum, yum” Pinterest board.
Chicken didn’t seem to have much flavour..
Made these wraps they are delicious. My son didn’t like the lettuce. He normally sue is on PB&J. He likes the wraps.
I used left over cooked chicken. Love this recipe, will be making this often. 😋
Quick and easy and so very good- you have to like cilantro because it is essential. Better than a restaurant.
This was easy to make and tasted great! I was pleasantly surprised because normally i am not into pineapple unless it is alone. Thanks for the great recipe! I will definitely make it again.
Quick, easy, and oh so yummy! My husband generally hates trying new things, but he ended up loving them. My only issue was finding fresh cilantro, so we went without. Didn’t miss it, but it was our first time having them, so maybe next time!
This was really good and oh so easy. I used the unbaked tortilla’s as you suggest and loved them. I found them in the fridge at the grocery store. They are sold out now on Amazon. They had a mini fridge in the isle next to the cooked tortilla’s on the shelf. I heated them on on a pan with no oil while cooking the chicken. I could only cook one at a time. I used a marinated cilantro lime chicken that I bought in the Deli section. That was such a great choice and was a great added flavor. I only had one tortilla 8 inch tortilla but I would have had 2 tortillas for sure if I was hungrier. I think this makes only 4 8 inch tortillas so make a larger portion or have something else with it if you have hungry eaters which I usually have.
This recipe is awesome but something I tried instead was marinating the chicken in a bbq coating and grilling it and serving hot off the grill or cold! We were in a pinch and needed to have something easy to make ourselves while at a relatives house so we grilled the chicken before we left so later we could use it and it was just as good cold! Love the recipe so thanks so much!!
These were amazing. My family loved them. This was delicious Thanks for sharing it.
This looks refreshing and perfect for summer! I am completely obsessed with adding pineapple to savory meals at this point – it came out of nowhere. I think my boyfriend would love this too (food is the way to a mans heart, yanno?)
Why is this not called a burrito when thats pretty much what it is?
So easy and delicious.
The taste is awesome. I love this recipe. Tried for my friends to check out and they loved the recipe too.
Great summer meal. Easy…not a lot of dishes and my husband and I kept wanting more!!
I made this tonight and instead of cooking chicken, I used shredded chicken from a Costco rotisserie chicken and just heated it up in a pan with some oil and then added Siracha BBQ sauce from Trader Joe’s. Thanks for the recipe!! It’s def going on repeat!
That sounds amazing–and super easy! Thanks for sharing 🙂
We had these for dinner tonight. So simple, fast, and delicious!
The are really, really good! Have made the a few times and they are very quick and easy. Using fresh pineapple makes them just delicious! Great recipe! Thank you!
Thanks Carol! I agree–fresh pineapple is the best way to go!
We made these for the first time last week & I loved them! My husband decided to make them by shredding the chicken breast & it just wasn’t the same! Love this easy, quick & YUMMY recipe! Perfect for a light lunch or dinner!
Great post.
I don’t like spending a lot of time preparing a meal, so this recipe was perfect! Love all of the ingredients and also added a red pepper! It was so delicious that I want to have it every day! I am going to use shrimp next as it is Lent! Can’t thank you enough for this recipe…even my picky husband loved it!
I made these with flat leaf kale as the wrap and it was fantastic!
What a great idea! Yum!
Made these tonight…AMAZING!!!
Absolutely love this recipe! Made some where I omitted the pineapple and added Jalepenos instead it was delicious as well!!
Thanks Tina! I love the idea of adding jalapenos! YUM!

This sounds delicious! Would u mind if I shared my attempt at making this on my Blog? I’m wanting to start doing a series on recipes. Of course I will link it to your blog and give you complete credit. God bless
Hi Angie, you are welcome to share the recipe, written in your own words, with your own photo. Thanks!
This is my favorite food. Though i can’t find the original taste in my country. Love it!!!!! Thank for the recipe.
I just made this for dinner tonight and it was good, everyone enjoyed it. I made a few changes: I grilled the wraps on a griddle pan after lightly spraying them with cooking spray, medium heat about 2-3 minutes per side beginning with the seam side up, until lightly golden brown. I used about half the lettuce called for in the recipe and used a shallot in place of the red onion, because that’s what I had on hand. This was really easy and pretty tasty!
Great recipe! We didn’t have tortillas on hand but it made a delightful salad!
We made them during our recent camping trip to Italy. They are delicious! Thank you 🙂
Camping in Italy?! How fun! Happy you liked them 🙂
What brand of tortillas did you use??
I use Tortilla Land uncooked flour tortillas–they are our favorite!
How many servings does this make?
It makes 4 wraps!
I love the sweet and salty combo. Especially when it is with pineapple! Looks so yummy!
We made these tonight and they were delicious and easy. We put them on the George foreman for a couple minutes so they had a nice crisp outer wrap! Thank you, we will definitely make again! 😀
These are really good cold as well!!! I had a tournament today and I made these for my lunch last night and they’re absolutely perfect!!!
Getting ready to try these tonight for supper. They sound absolutely wonderful!!! It is warm outside and I like something like this in this kind of weather. Have just discovered your website and am anxious to start looking for more recipes. Thanks
Thanks so much Nancy! I’d love to hear how you like them!
I’m going to try these out tonight, but wondering if you have a good barbecue recipe to go with. I never use pre bought sauces, and am thinking it will even give it an extra goodness. I’m going to take these out on the canoe fishing tonight! Perfect dinner wrap!
Hi Laura,That sounds like so much fun! I don’t have a homemade BBQ Sauce recipe on my site yet, but I have tried this one from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe and really liked it! http://www.melskitchencafe.com/the-best-barbecue-sauce/
I tried these last night and they are AMAZING. I ate at least 8! Thank you so much!!
This looks good for a snack and for lunch
Any nutritional information?
My kids are going through a very picky eating stage at the moment but they love chicken and bbq sauce so I’m definitely going to give this recipe a try. The added bonus is that it contains some salad which they usually won’t touch unless it’s in something like a wrap!
Delicious! Tried them for something new and am so glad I did. This recipe is definitely a keeper.
We just had this for lunch and it was wonderful! This will make it into our regular menu rotation. Thanks for sharing.
Menus rotation, wish I was that organized. It’s usually last minute. So this recipe is on for tonight.
Was wondering the calorie count on this.
I made these for dinner on Tuesday night and they were fabulous! I forgot the cilantro (that would have made it even better), but I also added fresh red bell pepper and avocado. LOVED all the fresh flavors. Definitely a winner and I’m sure I’ll be making again!
So happy you liked them! And I LOVE the addition of bell pepper and avocado–YUM. Thanks for your nice comment!
I was just thinking of jazzing dinner up and this will be perfect for a quick and yummy dinner. Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome
