Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats make the easiest, healthy, grab-and-go breakfast! Recipe on TastesBetterFromScratch.comIt’s official. I’ve totally jumped on the “overnight oats” bandwagon and I’m never getting off!  I don’t think there’s an easier, healthier, more delicious breakfast out there! Throw everything in a jar, shake it up, and BAM it’s ready in the morning for an easy grab-n-go breakfast! And it’s perfect for moms like me who have hungry kids early in the morning and want something fast and healthy to feed them!

And speaking of bandwagons, I’ve been on the Silk Almondmilk one for awhile now. The vanilla flavor seriously tastes like a milkshake–without the added calories! And don’t even get me started on the chocolate flavor. I like to put some in the blender with a frozen banana and ice cubes and it makes the best, healthy treat!

I love Silk® Almondmilk products because they’re Non-GMO and they have 50% more calcium than regular milk*! It’s true!  And in recipes like Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats it gives it the creamiest, smooth flavor!

  1. Delicious! I use my Ninja to speed up the ready time and sometimes put it in the microwave 30 seconds. Wonderful warm.

I just made these oats overnight for the first time, and it’s one of the best recipes I’ve tried! I made some substitutions with what I had at home. I used 2% milk and vanilla whole milk probiotic yogurt instead of what is listed. I also added 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds and 1 tsp brown sugar. It has a good apple flavor, and I like the texture. These used more liquid than others I’ve tried, and I realized I prefer that.

Excellent, very nice flavour! I will make these again. I used unsweetened applesauce and found the finishedproduct was a little runnier than I like for my oatmeal. Next time I’ll just cut back a little bit on the liquid. Delicious!

Love overnight oats! And particularly the cinnamon apple recipe. I started making my own applesauce, also very easy, and use it in this recipe. I don’t add any other sweeteners, as the applesauce is plenty for me. I do add some chia seeds (if I remember) which many other recipes call for. This makes enough for two servings for me using the small 8 oz canning/jelly jars. I grab one out of the fridge and eat it cold in the summertime, and will sometimes add chopped walnuts or pecans before eating. Yum!!

  5. Hi just wondering can you make more than 1 at a time. How long would they last in the refrigerator? Or should I make only 1 at a time and eat following morning?

  6. 5 stars
Delish! I add a TBS of pranite butter an 1 tsp of honey to mine. Sure, it adds calories!p, but nothing beats being able to eat a comfort food like oatmeal while sitting at your work desk,!
    ??

  7. Can steel cut oats be used instead? My 3.5 y/o prefers the texture. ??‍♀️ Can’t argue with that right??

  8. I’m new at this overnight oats thing, but this looks delicious! I want to make this but was wondering, do I mix everything together and then put it in a container or do I layer it like the picture?

    Thanks!

Mmm mm! So good. I added a teaspoon of brown sugar (rounded ?) and a tablespoon of salted butter. ( I always make oatmeal with butter). Took the advice to warm up before putting it in the fridge. Will definitely make again. My kids love oatmeal. I’m frequently making a huge pot in the morning. Just saved myself lots of Sunday morning time and no pot to clean! Thanks!

    1. Hi Demetria,
I used regular old fashioned oats. I wouldn’t use steel cut oats unless you partially cooked them first.

i love overnight oats also!! You can add any fruit in season, or sweetener like honey or maple syrup. When I have fresh apples I chop & add them -raisins also Like Ellen says , I have become a junkie, & there are so many ways to do them up.

These are fabulous! I had been putting pieces of apple in my overnight oats, but this takes them to a whole other level. Every bite is delicious and the prep is super easy. I added brown sugar for some sweetness!

  12. A real winner in the hot OR cold recipe category!
Most overnight oats are ‘cold only’ so having one that’s good hot too is a nice find. The applesauce is also a super idea to make it fast/ready to go. Shredding an apple in there as well as the applesauce is also really good for texture/fun. Sheila is right, chia seeds are a fantastic addition, they add protein, omega 3 oils, 2 kinds of fiber & keep you feeling full longer. (Making something this tasty, even healthier easily, is always a win!) For the people who desired ‘a little sweeter’, you can also soak a date or two in hot water, blend it to a puree, and mix it in for a lightly ‘caramel sweet’ touch that gets along well with the apple & cinnamon.

  13. I’m ahuge fan of overnight oats mixed with some fruits and nuts on the top cinnamon and almond milk ??

  14. Just made these yesterday and I’m obsessed. The only differences, I didn’t have almond milk so I substituted regular silk and added one packet of splenda for a little more sweetness. Loved the creaminess and thickness the greek yogurt gives. I got satisfied quick and had a hard time finishing the entire amount because it’s so filling but I somehow managed ;o)

  15. How long will this keep in the fridge before eating? Could I make 1 large batch for the whole week and just scoop out a serving each morning?

  16. Any idea on the calorie chart for this item. I followed the recipie except i used Silk Almond vanilla LIGHT
    Im a calorie tracker. (0:

    1. Ooh never mind haha. Another question; can I use regular yoghurt? Or do I HAVE to use Greek yoghurt?

      1. Hi Lena, You can use regular yogurt–I’d just add a little less milk then called for since regular yogurt is thinner than Greek yogurt–otherwise it may be thinner than you’d like. Hope you like it!

  17. I recommend adding honey to this and microwaving it to thicken it before putting it in the fridge. My oats turned out soupy on the first try but after those changes they were thicker and sweeter.

    1. how much honey and how long did you microwave? You did this BEFORE putting in the fridge overnight correct? Did you eat the oats cold in the AM or heat them up? I think I would prefer to eat them warm so I was wondering If I should add the honey and heat them twice (PM and AM).

    1. Hi Crystal, This recipe makes enough to fill about a pint size jar or container 🙂 But any big container will work!

  18. This looks amazing! I have always wanted to try overnight oats and never done it! I think this recipe is going to get me to do it tonight!

  19. I just started eating oatmeal for breakfast again and love how they keep me full for longer. This looks really, REALLY good. Think I’ll have to make some tonight!
