This Almond Poppy Seed Bread has the perfect soft, light and crumby texture and has just the right sweetness.  A simple bread that your whole family will enjoy

I absolutely love simple no-yeast sweet breads that you can make from home, usually with ingredients you already have in your pantry. Some of my favorites are listed just before the recipe card.

A friend made this lemon loaf recently and it was so yummy I knew I wanted to make a spin off almond version, because I LOVE almond flavor in bake goods (like this yummy Almond Sheet Cake). This Almond Poppy Seed Bread is just perfect. Perfect soft, light and crumby texture.

This bread is not too sweet, but sweet enough that you could never stop at one slice. It makes the perfect “neighbor gift” or it's perfect for serving at brunch, as a snack, or even for dessert.

Looks like a great bread!

What kind of flour have you used? Is it possible to use almond, coconut, or other low carb flour?

Thanks again!

Laur! This was AWESOME! We made it just yesterday and the Hubs loved it as much as I did. Next time I’ll have to make two; I think these would make lovely gifts for neighbors or new mothers. Thanks, cousin!

Lauren, this would be so perfect with a cup of tea! And I was just saying to myself yesterday that I probably need to use up my bottle of poppy seeds, so …

By the way, I do know that there is no lemon in there. My fingers just typed that 🙂

I love lemon poppy seed flavor! I’ve been experimenting with banana bread to make it vegan, now I think I’ll take this one on too. This looks delicious. Pinning on my “veganizable” board with high hopes 🙂

This sounds amazing because I LOVE poppy seed bread! It is also slightly torturous since I am doing the Whole 30 right now 😉
