This recipe is awesome. I discovered it while craving fruit con crema during aggressive chemotherapy. My husband is from Mexico however he has trouble giving me accurate recipes. His sister and her family (all native Mexicans new to the US) LOVE this crema.
I actually made a batch today but had to sub Greek yogurt for sour cream. It was muy delicioso. “Mi amor, this is really good stuffs. You could sell this really good in Mexico. They would love this.” My husband says while stuffing his face. Alas, I don’t get any and that’s really saying something bc it usually takes us a week to polish off a recipe AND I used an industrial sized carton of strawberries from Sam’s Club.
Maybe next time😩
Good taste but too thin. I wonder if there is a typo on the recipe
Too thin
Can this be made ahead and refrigerated? Or does the cream mixture need to be poured over just prior to serving?
Make ahead of time and pour over the berries as needed! I have had it last a week before it is ate up.
Made this for dessert today. Amazing!!! My husband loved it. Not too sweet, just right! I like that this one has a slightly thicker consistency than other recipes I’ve tried. Definitely a favorite now
So many of the recipes are just whipped cream and strawberries. My husband and I eat this in Mexico and were looking for a copy cat of the delishisness we have in Mexico…Bingo! This is it!
Made this for a Fiesta Party! It was a huge hit with the guests!
Hi …yes I just made the recipe and it. came out great! Very delicious! I was just wondering of you know if it can be frozen? Thanks so much!
