Chicken Bacon Avocado Wrap is one of my favorite easy dinner ideas! Lettuce, chicken, bacon and avocados tossed in a yummy dressing and layered inside a tortilla.
Two Chicken Bacon Avocado Wraps, one laying on the other.

It’s no secret that “wrap” recipes are one of my favorite things to share with you guys. They make the best easy meals and the most picky eaters can’t resist them. I’ve shared nearly 15 different kinds of wraps (find them here) and this Chicken Bacon Avocado Wrap is definitely one of my favorites.

I first shared this recipe several years ago–it was one of the first I ever posted on this blog! Even though it’s still beloved by my family, it was so far back in my blog archives it was almost lost forever!

I’ve updated the recipe and photos and hopefully it gets some new love and attention because it definitely deserves it!

I like to use a rotisserie chicken in this recipe, mostly because I’m lazy and I love the flavor it adds. You could also cook a chicken breast and shred it. Boiling the chicken breast in a pot of water, seasoned with salt and pepper, is my favorite way to cook it so that is shreds really easily.

I often get asked what kind of tortillas I use. This brand is by far my favorite.

I like to serve these with a side of fresh fruit, cold chopped veggies, and good ol’ fashioned potato chips.

Consider trying these wraps:

  1. Umm.. my mouth is seriously watering! I wish we lived closer so we could have dinner swaps 😉 haha! Love you!

  2. Oh wow! That sounds and looks fantastic. It’s probably better for you than a sandwich because of no bread. That tortilla has to have less bad stuff in it than bread. I think I will have to make this! Kathleen @ Fearlessly Creative Mammas

    1. Definitely! And you could always substitute Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise to make it even healthier!

  3. Pinning to do the next time I have rotisserie chicken! . . . I believe you can substitute mashed avocado for the mayo to make it healthier!

    1. I love making this with rotisserie chicken! It cuts the prep in half! And I’m totally going to try mashed avocado next time–great idea!

  4. This sounds awesome!!!! I am totally going to try this this summer when its too hot in Arizona to cook anything!!! Also if your tryiing to go for healthier options you can use plain greek yogurt instead of mayo 🙂

    1. Thanks Janet! Let me know how you like it with the greek yogurt–I bet it will taste just as great!

  5. These and your Buffalo Chicken wraps are going to my friend going through Chemo tonight! Its throwing off her taste buds and I think the spicy Buffalo chicken wraps and these savory Chicken Bacon Avocado wraps may help her out.
    Thanks for the great recipes!

  6. These were utterly amazing. And of course they would be – because like my husband said, “anything with bacon AND avocado in it is gonna be awesome.” I paired them with cucumbers and fresh peaches on the side. Dinner was a big hit. Thanks! 🙂

    1. Hi Megan, I use the Tortilla Land brand of uncooked tortillas (you should be able to find that am your local grocery store). They’re amazing!

  7. This looks great! How many days do think it will last in the fridge before losing its taste/texture? Thanks.

    1. Hi Jan, Because of the lettuce and dressing it really wont keep more than 1-2 days in the fridge without getting mushy. You could always prep all of the ingredients in advance (without coating the lettuce in sauce, and then throw it together right before you’re ready to eat…Hope that helps.

Loved it! I did add a little mustard and honey to the dressing to give it a little kick, it is a new classic in our family!

You know this is a keeper when your picky toddlers are asking for seconds. A fun twist to lunch and love how quick and easy these are to make.

  10. These look great, however I have a question about the carb content. One flour tortilla is over 20g carbs so I can’t see how you get 6g carbs per serving.
