Nothing beats our easy Peanut Butter Mug Cake that's moist, flavorful, and ready in less than 5 minutes. Grab a few pantry staples and let's satisfy your sweet tooth!

5-minutes is all you need for a Peanut Butter Mug Cake
No dessert can satisfy my sweet tooth quicker than a individual-sized mug cake and this peanut butter version is so moist and the flavor is spot on. The trick with mug cakes is to stop cooking the cake earlier than you think; you want it soft on the inside, and it will continue to cook as it cools. I stop the microwave when the top of the cake is just barely still shiny.
In my house, we make mug cakes a lot because it's a treat the kids can make themselves. Make sure to try our other popular versions: Vanilla Mug Cake, Chocolate Mug Cake, Pumpkin Mug Cake, and Oreo Mug Cake!
How to make a Peanut Butter Mug Cake:
Combine: Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a microwave safe mug then stir in milk, oil or melted butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Stir in chocolate chips.
Microwave for 70-90 seconds. The cake should be just set, but still barely glossy/shiny on top. Allow it to rest in the microwave for 1 minute before enjoying the best little peanut butter mug cake ever.

5-minutes is all you need for a Peanut Butter Mug Cake

This was so tasty! I added some crushed peanuts to mine and topped it with some melted chocolate. Can’t wait to make this again with any iterations of toppings and add-ins, I’m thinking some bacon bits and then banana slices on top for an Elvis moment… 😉
My peanut butter loving toddler went on a PB strike about a couple months ago. We replaced PB with Nutella & a sprinkling of sprinkles on top. Because of course she did. 🙂 Sooo good, thank you for your recipe! It’s wonderful and I love your notes for variations! Oh and my girl says she loves you <3
Great, quick recipe that satisfied my PB/chocolate craving. I added the cocoa powder, used Fairlife chocolate milk and I didn’t have any chocolate hips on hand. Still was enjoyable without them.
Just made this and added a tablespoon of chocolate protein powder plus an extra tablespoon of skim milk for a little protein boost. Yum!
I tried it with cocoa powder (1 1/2 tsp) and it was a big fail. 🙁 The texture wasn’t right and I knew it, but I had no clue how to fix it.
I used some chocolate protein powder and added more milk to balance the additional dry ingredient (1:1 tbsp ratio worked well)
It’s super delicious. Peanut butter is always been my favourite but had never tried recipes out of it. This is the first one and it turned out to be amazingly yummy and plus it’s eggless. I loved it, thank you so much for the recipe.
This was SO yummy and so easy!
Tastes amazing!! Especially with some white chocolate chips (that’s all I had in my pantry but it tastes so good) recipe is simple to follow and smells like a warm hug
i was really dry and tasted like flour and chocolate
Why, why do you tempt me with your delicious treats?! I am a sucker for all things chocolate and peanut butter, so naturally, I had to try this. I’m not lying when I say this could be my new favorite treat. It’s insanely easy to make, I almost always have the ingredients, and it always satisfies my ever present sweet tooth. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
