This microwave Chocolate Mug Cake recipe will become your new obsession; it's the easiest and fastest way to make dessert for one or two, and you wont believe how delicious it is! This mug cake recipe is made with chocolate chips and no eggs.
My late-night sweet tooth is a real thing and it has led to the creation of some of my favorite dessert recipes, like S'mores Bars, Blintzes, and Monster Cookies. But nothing beats a chocolate cake in a mug or cup in just one minute, in the microwave!

I tried my first mug cake recipe a few years ago and it was a disaster. A few days later I tried another recipe. Again, a disaster. Most recipes were dry and tasteless, and contained eggs.
Inspired by my favorite chocolate cake recipe, I set out to develop a rich chocolate mug cake without eggs (you don't need a whole egg, for only one serving of cake), that wasn't dry or spongy and that satisfied my chocolate cake craving. I'm so excited to share the best chocolate mug cake recipe with you!

The only chocolate mug cake recipe you will ever need. It’s absolutely perfect!! I made it two days in a row.. will be a challenge not to make it everyday.
favorite chocolate mug cake recipe! always a go to when im having a late night chocolate craving. super moist and i really like how the chocolate chips make it so fudgy. perfection.
This is THE mug cake. So so good! Quick and easy, and tastes great. I used buttermilk and butter, and it turned out fantastic! Had some leftover frosting in the fridge so I plopped that on top, and it was the perfect little treat.
Omg, this is so good. You really did amazing on creating this recipe. I use it often!
Wow this is so good. I never made a cake in a mug before. This new knowledge is dangerous for me🤣
Ps. Mine took exactly 70 seconds
Super soft and delicious! Not a deep chocolate flavor , but the chocolate chips can make up for that if you use dark chocolate chips. Mine was perfect at 80secs.
This was delicious warm with a scoop of icecream. Just enough to satisfy that craving. I like how it doesn’t need egg. Had this little pudding in the middle of night. So much cheaper and tastier than the artificial puddings from supermarket or Uber delivery.
It’s not a pudding
This tasted so good as a mug cake that I decided try to bake it!
I quadrupled the recipe, poured the batter into a cupcake pan (made 6 filled to the top with batter), and baked it for 200C for 15mins.
It came out moist, soft, and delicious. It is the best chocolate cake recipe I’ve ever made! You have created a great dual purpose recipe that can be a quick, single serve in the microwave or make a delicious batch of cupcakes in the oven.
Thank you so much! I will definitely be using this recipe for all My chocolate cake needs from now on!
This mug cake is so amazing and delicious! Thank you so much for your recipe, it’s so easy to make and a perfect portion. This one goes to my favorite bookmarks!
Delish I loved it. Best mug cake ever.
wow this is one of the best mug cakes i have ever made.
I added a random amount of chocolate chips and it’s really good but a tiny bit dry, still good overall.
I lost the recipe I had been using for years and was hesitant to try something new! I had run out of milk, so just used water, and had to use brown instead of granulated sugar. Worked out perfectly, delicious with some icecream!
