Pumpkin Mug Cake is a sweet little treat for any day.
I'm still amazed that you can make a single-serving mug cake in the microwave. It seems too good to be true, but I'm telling you it's so legit! (Try my vanilla mug cake and chocolate mug cake, too!). I particularly love this pumpkin version, with cinnamon sugar and pumpkin pie spice. It's cozy, with all the fall vibes, and ready in 5 minutes!
Ingredients Needed:

How to make Pumpkin Mug Cake:
Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in a mug. Stir in pumpkin, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth, scraping the bottom of the mug. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Microwave for 70-90 seconds. The cake should be set but still a little shiny on top. Let it rest and cool for a few minutes before eating. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if you'd like.
- All microwaves are different, so start with 70 seconds then wait 1 minute while it cools. If it's not set, add an extra 15-25 seconds as needed.

Yummy and moist. We cooked it for 70 sec and it was a little underdone so I would cook on the longer end.
My kids helped me make this recipe a few days ago and we sure enjoyed the yummy treat. I learned from this recipe that I have been overcooking the previous mug cakes so this one turned out nicely.
Not only was this delicious but it was fun to do with my grandchildren
I just made 4 of these for an after school snack for our kiddos. I decreased sugar to 2 Tbsp and it was plenty sweet. All our kids loved it! We will definitely be making it again! It’s a perfect comfort food on this rainy, gloomy day!
Oh wow!! I almost never leave comments on blog posts, but I had to leave one here to say how flipping good this was!
This is the first mug cake recipe I’ve ever made that is genuinely delicious. It was moist, flavourful and so so good! (My waistline kinda wishes I’d never stumbled across this recipe, it’s that simple and that good!)
Please can you say how big a mug? I have mugs of all sizes. Need capacity or measurements
I suppose…
Just an average size mug (12 oz. or so)

Seriously one of the best mug cakes I have ever tried. Super good I made this the night before school and it was awesome. 11/10
My 6 year old son made this cake by himself. He used dairy free mini chocolate chips, oat milk, and substituted the butter for vegetable oil and it turned out amazing! I helped him get the mug out of the microwave and we tried it together…. It was absolutely delicious and super easy! Such a fun fall treat and we always have the ingredients on hand!
I adore pumpkin recipes! This one is so easy & the chocolate chips add a fun flavor
I was a little hesitant because I’m not a huge mug recipe person as they tend to always be a flop… but at the same time I love TBFS so I gave it a try and actually really liked it! I always double cinnamon 😋 a nice quick fall treat!
