Our easy Yellow Rice recipe is my favorite way to jazz up rice, and it's a stunning side dish that pairs well with anything.

This easy Yellow Rice recipe is fluffy, flavorful, and goes with practically any main dish! Whip it up in 30-minutes with pantry staples and no special equipment required!

This Easy Yellow Rice Goes with Everything

I'm completely obsessed with this Yellow Rice because it manages to look fancy while being ridiculously easy to throw together. The saffron gives it that gorgeous golden color that makes everyone at the table do a double-take, and the combination of sweet raisins with savory spices is just perfect. Plus, it makes my whole kitchen smell like I've been cooking all day (when really, it's been simmering away on its own for 20 minutes). I love how it pairs with literally everything from roasted chicken, baked salmon, steak kabobs, or gyros. It's become my go-to side dish!

Don't miss my other side dishes like Wild Rice Pilaf, Whole Roasted Cauliflower, Potato Skins, Orzo Salad, Rice Pilaf, and Potatoes Au Gratin.

How to make Yellow Rice:

Sauté Veggies: Cook onion in a pan with a little oil for a few minutes then add garlic. (If you need a new garlic press, this garlic press is easy to use and clean)!

Add Rice and Broth: Pour in rice, all of the seasonings, and the chicken broth. Bring to a simmer then cover and cook on low for 20 minutes.

Top with Raisins and Serve: Open the lid and sprinkle on the raisins then cover with lid again and remove pan from heat. Let it rest with the lid on for 10 minutes then remove the lid and fluff rice with a fork. Garnish with chopped almonds and fresh parsley, if desired.
