Our Peach Crisp is the dessert my family begs for every summer, and I can whip it together quickly and easily. I love the crispy cinnamon oat crumble on top, and we always serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

It Wouldn't Be Summer Without Peach Crisp!

Peach Crisp is one of those lighter dessert recipes that always hits the spot, and makes the whole house smell incredible while it bakes. I love making it in the thick of peach season when the fruit is perfectly ripe and juicy. Serve it warm from the oven with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and you have the most perfect summer dessert!
Pro Tips: Choose “free-stone” peaches (the peach pit comes out easily). Varieties that work great are Elberta, Redhaven,
Cresthaven, Suncrest and Palisade, but really any ripe, firm, sweet peaches will work great.

How to make Peach Crisp:
Prep Peaches: Peel your peaches then slice them and toss with sugar. Let them sit for 20 minutes so they release their juices. (I also have this tutorial for how to peel and slice peaches).
Make Crumble Topping: Add all of the topping ingredients to a bowl then use a pastry blender or fork to cut in the butter mixture until it resembles small crumbs. Refrigerate.
Assemble and Bake: Drain peaches, reserving the peach juice then pour peaches in a large bowl. Measure out ¼ cup of the peach juice and pour it in a small bowl (you can drink the rest, it's delicious!). Stir in the flour, lemon juice, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Pour mixture over peaches then toss to combine.
Bake: Pour peaches into an 8×8″ dish then sprinkle oat topping evenly over the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and top is set. Take out of the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

I just made this and it was awesome!! We topped ours with French Vanilla ice cream and wow!! This is a keeper for next summer!! Thank you,
I have made this… 🙀. Oh my, it’s very, very good. I just have to use canned peaches, our weather has knocked out a lot of the produce in SETX! Try it with homemade ice cream, it’ll make you want to slap someone…lol
It’s also good made with stewed apples 🍎
Yummy
excellent
I would like to make your Peach Crisp. In the notes section, the sentence “Place thawed
peaches over the bowl” doesn’t make sense to me.
Oh, maybe it’s just the word “over”, meaning to spread them out in the bowl. Is that correct? I was thinking of “over” as meaning “above”.
Thanks for pointing that out. It is very confusing. Yes your interpretation is right, spread them out in the bowl with the juice!
Easy and wonderful. I flunked home economics 4 times. I didn’t want to cook or be domesticated. I hung out with dogs and horses my entire life.
Now I’m retired, husband
got sick. He can’t shop or cook anymore, so I must learn to fix him things he likes but it’s got to be quick and easy. This was a perfect recipe for a home ec flunkie! I especially loved the little boxes for checking off the ingredients as I add them. I totally panicked when I saw I had to add flour but I had already added some earlier and the checked box kept me on track! Love it, thank you. PK
easy and delicious
wow amazing just right not runny perfect with vanilla ice cream!
This is just the right size of crisp I want to
make for 4 people. Sounds easy and I
like to use fresh uncooked peaches instead
of precooking them for cobbler. I’ll add
chopped pecans to the crisp!
This is our go-to crisp recipe. Friend have asked for it.
I made this peach cobbler a few weeks ago. It was very easy to do and such a hit with my family. We had a little left over and my daughter finished it for breakfast the next morning. I guess she liked it.
