Guys, this Halloween marks the first time in TEN YEARS that I will have trick-or-treaters knocking at my door! Between college, living out of the country, and living in an apartment complex in the city, providing candy for cute little trick-or-treaters was not a possibility. But, my time has finally come and I plan to make the most of it!
You know how all kids peg certain houses in their neighborhood that offer the best candy on Halloween? (If you didn’t know that, now you know.) I fully plan to be one of the houses the kids are talking about!
The first key to being the house kids are talking about is having Halloween decorations outside of your house. It lets them know that you’re a fan of Halloween! I wanted to decorate my door cute, but simple, and my little boy wanted to help, so we cut out some cute black bats for our front door.
I found the bat silhouette from One Good Thing By Jillee and you can print it here.
The second, and most important key to making your house memorable is offering the best Halloween treat! Enter the new Oreo Glow-in-the-Dark 2-packs! Who doesn’t love Oreo cookies? These little glow-in-the-dark packs make the perfect spooky treat! They’re sold in packages of 30 and can be found at your local grocery store.
I’ve mentioned on the blog before how much my husband LOVES Oreo cookies. He has special little sticks he uses to dip them in milk. As soon as I saw these Oreo packs I knew I’d found the best Halloween treat! Aren’t they cute?!–and they’re the perfect portion size for your visiting trick-or-treaters. And did I mention they GLOW IN THE DARK? So cool!
The third key to be a fun house to trick-or-treat at is dressing up for your visitors! I love when my little boys knocks on a door and the neighbor is wearing a costume. He gets so excited and it makes the experience even more fun and memorable. 🙂
Happy Halloween everybody! Now that you know what’s in my trick-or-treat bag (these awesome Oreo 2-packs) what’s in yours?
