You wont be able to stop eating these amazing Grilled Doughnuts! And they’re super easy to make!
Happy National Doughnut Day! Did you stop by Krispy Creme to get your free doughnut yet? I totally would have, but I don’t have one close. My husband and I were watching Chopped the other night (do you love that show too? It’s one of our favorites!) and the episode was a special “Grill Masters” theme. I am a total wannabe “grill master”. They were making the coolest stuff on the grill and I was so impressed and intrigued! So, in honor of National Doughnut Day today I went to a local place and got a few glazed doughnuts to make Grilled Doughnuts!
Have you ever had Grilled Doughnuts? I’m promise, they’re a “thing”, and they’re amazing! But really, what isn’t made more delicious on the grill? You throw the donuts on a hot grill for just a few seconds and watch them puff and char slightly. The result is a doughnut thats beautifully sugar-crisped on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside.
What you’ll need:
Fresh glazed doughnuts
cooking spray
hot grill
Directions:
Turn your grill to medium-high heat and grease well with cooking spray or canola oil. Place doughnuts on the hot grill for about 20-30 seconds (watch closely so you don’t burn them). Flip and repeat on the other side. Remove to a plate. Serve warm.
