When making my Mini Grilled Cheese Hors d’Oeuvres I decided to make another fun little appetizer that is perfect for parties as well. These Turkey & Swiss Pinwheel Appetizers are super quick, very easy, and the perfect party food. Not only that, they are made with my favorite Boar’s Head meat & cheese. If you haven’t tried their meat and cheese, you must! Pinwheels are so fun and versatile – but this variation is one of my favorites.
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 6 slices deli-style turkey
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. water
- Preheat oven to 400. Sprinkle the flour on your work surface. Unfold the pastry sheet on the work surface. Brush the pastry sheet with the egg mixture. Top with the turkey & cheese slices. Starting at a short side, roll up like a jelly roll. Cut into about 20 (1/2-inch) slices. Place the slices, cut-side down, onto 2 baking sheets. Brush the slices with the egg mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
