Although I’ve never been a huge hot dog person, my mom made these California Hot Dogs all the time growing up and they are amazing!! They’re layered with sprouts, onions, cheese, and other yummy toppings that I love!
The alfalfa sprouts are the best part and give these California Dogs a little crunch! They’re super easy to throw together, and they’re so much tastier than traditional hot dogs! We like to bring our little portable grill to the park and make these–everyone loves them!
- 4 all beef hot dogs
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 cups alfalfa sprouts
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- ketchup and mustard, to taste
- Grill hot dogs on grill. Once cooked, place them in the buns. Layer them with cheese, onions, avocado, tomato and alfalfa sprouts. Top with ketchup and mustard.
